Program Associate at Innovation for Change – MENA Hub

Position Title: Program Associate.
Location: Remote – MENA Region.
Reporting to: Hub Manager.
Duration: 1 Year.
Type: Full-time.

About Innovation for Change MENA:
Innovation for Change (I4C) is a global network Innovation for Change is a global network running through seven Innovation Hubs around the world inspired by ideas, methods, and technologies from across sectors, to create solutions that drive positive social change.

As part of the Innovation for Change (I4C) global network, the Middle East and North Africa Hub was (I4C MENA Hub) established in 2017 to be a network of people and organizations who connect, collaborate, interchange ideas, innovations, and resources, and learn together for a conjoint purpose of opening the Civic Space and overcome restrictions to civil freedoms of assembly, association, and speech in the MENA region.

Purpose of the position:
The Program Associate will provide effective support to the I4C MENA Hub team, contributing to the successful implementation of programs and initiatives in the MENA Region. This role requires a combination of operational, development, and implementation skills to ensure the smooth functioning and impact of the Hub’s activities and initiatives in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Support :
Assist in the development and implementation of Hub’s strategic initiatives and work plan.
Support the team in fundraising efforts, including identifying potential funding opportunities, and participating in proposals and concept notes drafting.

Finance and grant management support:
Support in the management of grants, including grant agreements, budget monitoring, financial reporting and tracking the grants compliance and ensuring adherence to the Hub’s policies and the donors’ requirements.
Assist in budget preparation and financial planning for various projects.
Coordinate with grantees to ensure timely submission of financial reports and proper documentation.
Maintain accurate records of grant activities, including grant agreements, reports, and correspondences.
Ensure the Hub’s journals and bookkeeping are up to date
Prepare payments and corresponding supporting documents, ensuring compliance with Hub and donor policies.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (ME&R):
Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for the Hub’s programs and activities.
Collect and analyze data to assess the impact of projects and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain a database of program indicators, results, and lessons learned to inform future planning and decision-making.

Support in Activities Implementation:
Assist in the planning and implementation of Hub activities, including workshops, training sessions, and networking events.
Coordinate with partners, trainers, and participants to ensure smooth execution of activities.
Assist in the preparation and dissemination of activities reports, case studies, research projects, and other similar projects.

Communication and Outreach:
Assist in the development and implementation of the Hub’s communication and outreach strategy to engage with stakeholders and raise awareness about the Hub’s activities and impact.
Support in the preparation of documents/content that aligns with the Hub’s goals and messaging for the Hub’s social media platforms communication.
Support in the organization of outreach events, including webinars, public talks, and other engagements aimed at increasing the Hub’s visibility and influence.

General Administrative Support:
Coordinate meetings, workshops, and events, including logistics (In coordination with Hub’s Finance and Grants Manager), documentation, and follow-up actions.
Provide other administrative support to the Hub’s Core Team as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the Hub.

Qualifications:
Education:
University degree in International Development, Business Administration, Finance, Political Science, Social Sciences, or in related fields.

Experience:
At least 3 years of experience working in a similar position in the MENA region, preferably in civil society, human rights, development, or a related sector.
Experience in project management, fundraising, and grants management is highly desirable.
Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation processes, as well as reporting to donors.

Language Skills:
Fluency in both Arabic and English (writing, speaking, and reading) is required. Proficiency in French is an asset.

Technical Skills:
Experience in project management.
Experience in financial management and budgeting.
Proficient in Google Docs, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with data analysis and management is an asset.
Experience with Social Media Analytics and Graphic Design are assets.
